We're a tech start-up transforming the world's urban water systems. Everyday, we send citizens information about their water supply and help utilities improve their water distribution system with mobile technology. Our service is live in Hubli, Dharwad, and Bangalore, with demand coming from across India and the world.
NextDrop is looking for 10 interns for their 2014 batch. The internship will be a 2 month experience starting June 1, 2014 with the opportunity for part time or full time work offers after completion of the internship.
The objective of the internship is to create a thought provoking, and professionally enhancing experience for students. By the end of the program, students should have a good sense of what it is like to work at a startup, and if this is a career option they would like to pursue. They should also have a good idea about the water sector in India, and the challenges and opportunities that face public service delivery in India.
NextDrop is expanding and looking for passionate individuals to join our growing tech team. You will specifically create a seamless user experience for the customers who receive our SMS water alerts, while also creating custom web based technology for the water utility- to enable them to make data driven decisions. Your job will also entail being the guardian and keeper of all our data- which means looking after our custom built SMS/IVR system. Finally, you'll be making custom internal analytics to track all of the important pieces of information - so we can all figure out how to improve and grow our company.
You are itching to make your ideas come to life, and create amazing products that have the ability to impact millions of lives. You can take a real world problem, and create a technical solution for it- the prospect of doing things nobody has ever done before excites you. You love data, and truly believe that making data driven decisions will help any organization succeed. You also love the details and have been criticized as being too much of a perfectionist- you won't let something pass if there's even an extra space between a comma and the next word. You love to travel, and you don't like to sit in the same place all the time. Similarly, you enjoy challenges, and love the prospect of doing different things every day. You also love the details: you record everything that goes right, AND everything that goes wrong so you can fix it next time. You believe in the hacker mentality: Fail fast, fail often, but learn every time. But most of all, you are simply passionate about making a real difference in the world, and will do whatever it takes to make that happen.
As our company grows, we are looking for a passionate individual to manage our accounts and logistics across our multiple branches within Karnataka, and eventually, across India. This job is something which mixes a little bit of the old with a little bit of the new. We are looking for someone with accounting and logistics experience, but who is looking to innovate in this space. What that new fusion looks like is up to you (that's the fun part!) but at the end of the day, we're looking for people who want to make sure we are staying on budget, the CPA's are happy with us, bills get paid, and things regarding logistics just magically seem to get done, even before someone notices it needed to happen.
You feel like nobody understands you- detailed accounting people can be creative souls too! The only thing you love more than making lists is striking things off them when they are completed. You love planning- when you and your friends take a trip together, you're always the one arranging everything (and you secretly love it- but yes, more appreciation from them would be nice once in a while). You hate the fact that the only jobs available for people with your skillset involved the words "monotony" and "the daily grind". But most importantly, you want to be a part of something greater than yourself, making the world a little bit better than you left it (and having fun/working with some pretty cool people in the process).Interested? Send a resume and cover letter to email@example.com with the heading "Logistics/Accounts Manager"
As our company grows, we are looking for passionate individuals to manage communication and build relationships between the citizens of urban India, utilities, and NextDrop! When a citizen has a problem, you're the first one there to solve it. Be it Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, or the telephone, you're an expert at communicating with people and making their lives a little better, one interaction at a time. You're one of those people that observes all the details, and loves documenting them to look for patterns to systematically improve the experiences we created.
